Assam All Set To Glorify The 74th Republic Day Celebration

GUWAHATI: Assam is all set to celebrate the 74th Republic Day in the state, which is knocking the door. Several parts of Assam has planned series of functions and initiatives in order to glorify the event.

In Golaghat, rehearsals are being carried in a full fledged manner as a grand celebration is going to take place in Sammanya Kshetra in the region. During the program, both military and para military forces along with various police unit will attend the event and pay tribute to the promising day embedded in the Indian constitution.

A parade will also be carried out by the North Lakhimpur government higher secondary school. The event will be addressed by Assam police, home guard, police battalions and NCC scouts and guides.

The authorities are carrying out preparations of the parade in full swing which will be showcased on the 26th of January, 2023. It is worth mentioning here that, the parade which will take place in New Delhi will also include Ahom Kingdom's pride, Rang Ghar and Shiva Dol on Republic Day celebrations.

Along with that, Assam Tableau will also showcase Vir Lachit Borphukan on the boat and Maa Kamakhya temple. In order to make the tableau a successful one, officers from the Directorate of Cultural Affairs in Assam are lodging in New Delhi.

The tableau demonstrating the valour of Lachit Borphukan is part of the celebration of his 400th birth anniversary. The demonstration of Assam's prominence will be showcased in the entire nation and across the nation as well.

Meanwhile, in order to organise a peaceful Republic Day celebration at Haflong, a meeting was conducted by the Deputy Commissioner, AR Mazumder in Wednesday. The meeting revolved around officially assigning responsibilities to various departments by the DC.

The 74th Republic Day will be conducted in a grand way centrally at NL Daulagupu Sports Complex, Haflong.
