Assam: APDCL Offers Surcharge Waiver Options To Customers In New One-Time Settlement Scheme

Guwahati: The Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) has announced that it has launched a one-time settlement scheme for its customers.

With the help of this scheme, the customers of APDCL will now be able to resolve long-pending litigations. 

In this scheme, the power company offers four surcharge options that the customers can choose from.

For an upfront principal payment of 100%, APDCL offers a surcharge waiver of up to 100%.

The company offers a surcharge waiver of up to 65% for 75% upfront principal payment. The number of maximum instalments in this option is 1 and the last date for instalment payment in 2021 is September 29.

The maximum number of instalments for an upfront principal payment of 50% is 2. The customer would be granted a surcharge waiver of up to 35% for this option. The last dates for instalment payment in 2021 are September 29 and October 29.

Lastly, 25% of the upfront principal payment will have a maximum of 15% surcharge waiver and is to be paid in a maximum of 3 instalments. The last dates for instalment payments in 2021 are September 29, October 29 and November 29.
