Morigaon: Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ASRLM) Morigaon in collaboration with the district administration organized a three-day Asomi Bhogali Mela at Morigaon Bihutoli ground that began from today and will conclude on January 12. The Asomi Bhogali Mela was inaugurated by Morigaon District Commissioner Debashis Sharma in presence of CEO of MZP Sanjib Kr. Bora,DPM of ASRLM Samir Choudhary, BPMs, BCs and other officials of ASRLM, Morigaon.
Total 52 outlets of self-help groups from different parts of the district participated in the Mela. This fair has been able to get a public response for showcasing ethnic dresses of different castes and tribes together with different Assamese pithas and other decor items made by SHGs of five blocks Bhurbandha, Kapili, Mayong , Laharighat and Moirabari. The three day long programme will witness various kinds of traditional games and various cultural programmes will also be organized on January 12 during the mela.
