Assam Assembly Election: Voter Awareness Programme held in Sivasagar

SIVASAGAR: In view of the upcoming Assam Legislative Assembly election, a special outreach programme was organized at Khanikar village by the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Gargaon College (Autonomous), Sivasagar, with the support of the Eco Club and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Gargaon College, on Wednesday. The initiative aimed to promote voter awareness and educational consciousness, ensuring active participation of every citizen in the democratic process.

The programme began with a voter awareness drive, where Dr Pobon Kumar Gogoi, Associate Professor of the Department of Political Science, Gargaon College, acted as the resource person. As part of the programme, and in alignment with 'Utsav Vidyarambha,' another session on the theme 'Promotion of Science Education' was conducted at Bhogbari Middle English School in Khanikar village, an adopted village of the college.
