Assam Assembly Elections: Six candidates file nominations in Sivasagar

As the first phase of forthcoming polls will be held on March 27, on Monday, Kushal Dowari, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for Thowra constituency filed his nomination in Sivasagar.

DEMOW: As the first phase of forthcoming polls will be held on March 27, on Monday, Kushal Dowari, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for Thowra constituency filed his nomination in Sivasagar. BJP supporters took out a bike rally while Kushal Dowari went to file his nomination in Sivasagar. On the other hand, Sushanta Borgohain, INC candidate for Thowra constituency, also file his nomination in Sivasagar on Monday and his supporters also took out a rally while he went to file his nomination.

In Sivasagar constituency, Rupa Bora, independent candidate, and Akhil Gogoi, president of newly-floated Raijor Dal, filed their nomination on Monday. In Amguri constituency, Dr. Angkita Dutta, INC candidate, and Pradip Hazarika, AGP candidate, filed their nomination on Monday. A total of six candidates of Sivasagar district filed their nominations on Monday.
