BAKSA: Assam Assembly Speaker and MLA of Paneri constituency, Biswajit Daimary arrived at the Tamulpur Subdivision Office on Wednesday. He attended a meeting held in the auditorium of the office of the subdivision under the chairman ship of Dr. Bedang Talukdar, Subdivisional Officer (Civil) of Tamulpur subdivision. He interacted with officials of various departments. During the interaction, Daimary took stock of the development works of the various departments and the problems faced. He advised the department officials to give various suggestions as well as to work for the development of the region. He asked them to ensure that people reap the benefits of various government schemes.

Later, Daimary attended the adya shradha of Jamini Swargiya, vice-president of Baksa district Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) who died in a road accident. Daimary also organized a tea party for senior citizens of Tamulpur, leaders of various political, non-political organizations and student organizations. Addressing the gathering, Daimary said that the seat of Tamulpur MLA was vacant after the untimely demise of the MLA of Tamulpur assembly constituency. But he assured that he would make efforts to resolve the problems and grievances of the people of Tamulpur till a new MLA was elected.
