Assam: Awareness meet on breast cancer

DOOMDOOMA: The Doomdooma branch of ‘Warriors’, an NGO, organized an awareness meeting on uterine and breast cancer for women at Natun Amguri Primary School, Philllobari on Saturday. Dr. Pranabjyoti Deka, one of the prominent social workers and prominent gynaecologists of Doomdooma, gave a detailed description of both the diseases through power point presentation and explained in detail how to prevent them. He also gave a lot of advice to women on general health issues.

The meeting was attended by ‘Warriors’, Tinsukia District Committee Assistant Secretary Lakshya Moran, blood collection worker Amirul Haque Majumder, former President of Tinsukia District Xahitya Xabha (TDXX) Arjun Barua, former Principal of Hoonlal Higher Secondary School Shima Chowdhury and Principal of the school Phulen Moran. The meeting was organized by Nivarani Chowdhury, Assistant Teacher and Public Relations Secretary of the branch and Praneeta Chakraborty Sharma, Finance Secretary of the branch.
