NAGAON: Nagaon-Kolongpar Unit, Assam Science Society in association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Nowgong College (Autonomous) organized an awareness programme on ‘Application of Digital Platforms for Dissemination of Science’ at Chapanala HS School.

The programme was sponsored by Assam Science Society under popularization of science in villages of Assam programme. The proceedings of the programme were initiated by Dr Bhuban Ch Chutia, President, Nagaon-Kolongpar Unit, Assam Science Society, while Parul Gayan, Principal, Chapanala HS School, welcomed the resource person, guest, and participants.

Dr Lalit Mohan Goswami, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, Nowgong College (Autonomous), graced the programme as resource person. Dr Goswami elaborated on the different digital platforms which were extensively used to disseminate science. He also highlighted the use of technology in the teaching and learning process of science. He explained how digital platforms made it easier to disseminate modern science. He urged teachers to use tools and techniques of digital platforms to disseminate science.

The awareness programme was attended by teachers of the Chapanala HS School, neighbouring schools, members of the Nagaon-Kolongpar unit, Assam Science Society. Over 300 students participated in the awareness programme, stated a press release here.
