Assam Board Postpones Class XI Mathematics Exam Scheduled For March 21

The board has reassured that the new exam date, together with further guidance, will be out in due course of time.

GUWAHATI: The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) has officially announced the re-scheduling of the Higher Secondary first year Mathematics exam which was scheduled to be held on March 21 in the afternoon session. It was declared by a formal notice issued by the Controller of Examinations on March 20 that because of some unavoidable reasons, the postponement was required.

In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu announced the delay, saying, "The Higher Secondary First Year Mathematics exam on March 21, 2025 (Afternoon Session) stands postponed due to unavoidable circumstances. New date & further details will be intimated soon."

The board has reassured students and educational institutions that the new test date, together with further guidance, will be out in due course of time.

Students and stakeholders have been told to continue monitoring for any releases by the ASSEB pertaining to the rescheduled test. The postponement has created anxiety among students who were ready for the test, but the board seeks to make sure that all preparations are in place for a successful examination process as soon as the revised date is announced.

The ASSEB will remain focused on the academic interest of students and will keep the public informed of any update on the examination schedule.
