Guwahati: In a tragic incident, the bodies of two adolescents were fished out from a waterfall in the Karbi Anglong district of Assam on Monday (September 7).

The two deceased have been recognized as Bibhakar Nag and Sudip Bagchi. The duo, hailing from the Golaghat district of Upper Assam, went missing recently during a visit to the Kakochang Kaipholangso Waterfall. They were also joined on their trip by six other boys, said reports.

20-year-old Bivakar Nag was a talented lanky right-arm medium-fast bowler from Golaghat. He represented Assam in Cooch Behar trophy in the season 2019-20 and claimed 20 wickets in the season.

The bodies of the missing duo were fished out from the Karbi Anglong waterfall after the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) launched an extensive operation to find the missing adolescents.
