SIVASAGAR: A body was found floating in the historic Borpukhuri in Sivasagar town on Monday morning, triggering widespread shock across the district. The discovery was made early in the morning by some morning walkers near the VIP road adjacent to the historic Borpukhuri, located in the heart of Sivasagar town. Upon receiving information, the Sivasagar Sadar Police immediately arrived at the scene and conducted a preliminary investigation. Following the arrival of the magistrate, the body was retrieved and sent to the Sivasagar Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination.
