Assam: Bongaigaon DC Chairs Development Meeting, Reviews Key Schemes

BONGAIGAON: The District Development Committee meeting for Bongaigaon district was held on February 11, 2025, at the conference hall of the DC office. The meeting was chaired by Nabadeep Pathak, the District Commissioner.

During the meeting, the DC reviewed various schemes under departments such as Animal Husbandry and Veterinary, Public Health Engineering, Forest, Education, Public Works (Roads and Buildings), Fishery, Agriculture, Sericulture, APDCL, Co-operatives, DICC, Handloom and Textile, and Skill Development.

Dhrubajyoti Das, the District Development Commissioner, along with all department heads, attended the meeting.

Meanwhile, a district-level monitoring and supervision committee meeting for the upcoming HSLC and HS Examinations was held on Monday at the District Commissioner’s conference hall, chaired by Dibrugarh District Commissioner Bikram Kairi.

The meeting reviewed arrangements for the HSLC Examination, set from February 15 to March 3 across 30 centers in Dibrugarh, with 14,083 students. The HS Examination will take place from February 13 to March 17 at 29 centers, with 11,081 students.

Earlier this month, the District Development Committee meeting for Sonitpur was held at the DC’s Conference Hall, chaired by District Commissioner Ankur Bharali.

Key discussions included improving institutional deliveries, achieving full immunization coverage, and monitoring the progress of Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTC). The committee also focused on the use of the JJM NHM app and preparations for the upcoming Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit.

Other topics included updating ration card numbers, the Watershed Yatra initiative, and teacher rationalization. The meeting, attended by various district officials, emphasized collaboration to promote Sonitpur's social and economic development.
