Assam Book Fair to get underway today in Jorhat

JORHAT: The Assam Book Fair will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday at Jorhat Kachari Maidan at around 4 pm. Addressing media persons, Pramod Kalita, secretary of the Assam Book Publication Board, said, "Assam Book fair will begin on Friday evening. It has been organized by the Assam Book Publication Board in association with Northeast Book Sellers' Association and Jorhat Academic Centre." He added that Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma would inaugurate the Assam Book Fair in presence of State Education Minister Dr Ranoj Pegu. A total of 50 publication houses will participate in the book fair.
