Assam: Celebrating Women's Day, DHSK Commerce College Unveils Its First Wall Magazine

DIBRUGARH: On the eve of International Women’s Day, the Department of English, DHSK Commerce College launched its first-ever wall magazine, The Dialogics.

The inaugural event was graced by Principal i/c of the college Sailen Gogoi. Dr Ipsita Bhattacharya, Head of the English Department, elaborated on the purpose of the wall magazine and its significance in fostering student creativity.

During the launch, Principal i/ c Sailen Gogoi emphasized the importance of wall magazines in nurturing students’ creative expression. Other distinguished speakers, including Dr Joydev Gogoi, Head of the Department of Marketing Management, Dr Tulika Mattak, Coordinator of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, and Dr Chitra Roy praised the initiative of the English Department in bringing The Dialogics to life.

The event was attended by faculty members Dr Anita Barua, Dr Luku Marang, Dr Mintu Kumar Das, Dr Ajit Goswami, and Dr Kasturi Shaikia, Riya Das along with office staff members Prema Chutia, Padma Chutia, and Beauty Gogoi. The students of the editorial board were also introduced, acknowledging their leadership in compiling and designing the magazine.

English Department faculty member Nazrana Haque also highlighted the relevance of the chosen theme, Women in Film, in honour of the International Women’s Day.

The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Nazrana Haque who expressed her gratitude to all participants for their support and encouragement. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students of the English Department, marking a successful launch of The Dialogics.
