
Nalbari: Assam Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Anurag Goel, IAS, visited Nalbari today to oversee a two-day training session for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and their supervisors, held at Nalbari College. The programme aims to enhance the capabilities of grassroots electoral staff in preparation for upcoming electoral exercises.
In his address, Shri Goel highlighted the pivotal role of BLOs in maintaining accurate electoral rolls and fostering voter awareness. He urged participants to uphold transparency, dedication, and the democratic spirit in fulfilling their duties.
The session was also attended by Nalbari District Election Officer Shri Nibedan Das Patowary, ACS, along with other senior officials. They underscored the need for meticulous data management and active public outreach to ensure a robust electoral process.
This training initiative is part of a broader effort by the Election Commission of India to reinforce the efficiency and readiness of the electoral framework across the state.
