

DIBRUGARH: The Chaharikata ME School is one of the known schools in the Dibrugarh district of the state and it is celebrating its Golden Jubilee year. The school organised an alumni meeting to mark the occasion.
Located in the interiors of the Tingkhong Constituency in the Dibrugarh district of the state, the Chaharikata ME School was established in the year 1973 at the Chaharikata and the institution has stepped into its 50th year of establishment. It can be mentioned that the school was recently upgraded to a Higher Secondary school. The Golden Jubilee celebration will start on December 7 with a 3-day schedule and several events will be organised during this time.
In view of this upcoming celebration, former students of the school came together for an alumni meeting at the Chaharikata Tarun Sangha Library Auditorium. The alumni offered their respects to the retired teachers as well as their educational institution. Stories from the past days regarding experiences and memories were also remunerated at the gathering. Many of the alumni of the institution mentioned that the education that they received in the school during their early days has been the key to reaching of the position that they are in now.
Meanwhile, the Board of Secondary Education (SEBA) has rescheduled the examination programme for the High School Leaving Certificate Examination (HSLC)-2024. The exam dates for three subjects have been revised: social science, which was scheduled to be conducted on February 20, 2024, in the morning session from 9:00 a.m. to noon, is being revised to February 19, 2024, in the morning session.
General Science, which was scheduled to be conducted on February 26, 2024, in the morning session, is rescheduled to February 27 in the morning session from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Weaving and Textile Design (E) and Bodo (E), which were scheduled to be conducted on February 27 in the morning from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., will be conducted on the afternoon session of February 27 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
