SIVASAGAR: On the occasion of Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma’s 56th birthday, his supporters in Sivasagar extended their heartfelt wishes to him today. To mark the occasion, the members and office bearers of the Dikhowporia Sanmilita Yuva Sangha, a prominent social and cultural organization in the Thanamukh region of Sivasagar, paid tribute by offering xorai and lighting lamps at the historic Shiva Doul.
The members of the organization prayed to Lord Shiva for the Chief Minister’s good health, long life, and continued strength in leading the state toward progress. The association’s President Jehiruddin Khan expressed optimism that under Dr Sarma’s leadership, who was born on February 1, 1969 in Jorhat, Assam will shine on the global stage in the coming years.
Along with all the office bearers, President Jehiruddin Khan, Secretary Ratu Kumar Das, and Joint Secretary Himanshu Neog, actively participated in the event. Additionally, a group of women from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) distributed food items to underprivileged children near the Shiva Doul as part of the celebration.
BJP leaders, including Municipality Chairperson Mrinali Konwar, Boby Kakati, and Nuri Begum, were also present at the event.
