
Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma left for South Korea and Japan on Sunday to attract potential investors and entrepreneurs to the Advantage Assam Summit 2.0, a business conclave that the state government will host in Guwahati next month.
During the visits, he will participate in roadshows that will showcase the summit. These activities will take place in eight different nations.
On his way to South Korea, Chief Minister posted on X stating, "Namaste South Korea. Look forward to having engaging discussions with industry leaders and agencies during my 3-day visit starting today to showcase Assam's potential ahead of the #AdvantageAssam2 Summit and to take forward the warm Indo-Korea ties."
In a different post, CM Sharma informed that his trip to the two Asian countries will last five days.
He stated, "I am shortly leaving for Seoul and Tokyo on a 5 day visit to present our vision of #AdvantageAssam2 to prospective investors, entrepreneurs and business leaders."
He added, "During my stay, I intend to showcase Assam - the gateway to South East Asia and blessed with excellent human capital as a key anchor state in strengthening Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji's Act East Policy."
It is to be mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be inaugurating the event and other Cabinet Officers and top officials are expected to be present.
