
NEW DELHI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa held a very productive meeting with Union Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia in New Delhi on Tuesday, where they talked about various steps aimed at encouraging the state’s development.
The meeting concentrated on various key projects supported by the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), including the Ashtalakshmi Mahotsav. CM Sarma also extended an invitation to Minister Scindia to attend the upcoming Advantage Assam Summit, scheduled for February 2025 in Guwahati.
Both leaders highlighted the need for continued collaboration to make sure of comprehensive growth and sustainable development in Assam.
Meanwhile, earlier this week, a review meeting on district development projects was organized by Tamulpur district administration at the community hall of DC office on Friday. The meeting of District Development Committee was chaired by Pankaj Chakravarty, DC of Tamulpur, and was attended by officers of various departments and missions of the district.
District Commissioner Pankaj Chakravarty briefed the officers on the achievement of the district in the national context. He also appreciated the cooperation of the officers for this achievement.
The meeting discussed the progress of works of the departments and the timely implementation of development initiatives. The District Commissioner also urged the officers of some concerned departments to go among the people and create awareness.
He also drew the attention of all the officers to the expiditious completion of unfinished works under the departments. He emphasized on creating an environment of dialogue and coordination among the departments.
