
DHUBRI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma honoured 34 government-recognized journalists from Dhubri with a Gift of Goodwill at a special event held at the district's Circuit House conference hall. The event was organised by the Public Relations Department to honour journalists' significant contributions.
Journalists from Agamoni, Golakganj, Tamarhat, and Dhubri Sadar town received the gifts from the Chief Guest, Dhubri District Commissioner Dibakar Nath. Local media professionals enthusiastically participated in the event, demonstrating the close relationship between the state government and the press.
Additionally, Dhubri's Information and Public Relations Officer Snigdha Rani Das attended the event. Appreciating the Chief Minister's gesture, the journalists conveyed their appreciation for the recognition.
This initiative reflects the Assam government's continued efforts to build stronger ties with the media, recognizing their vital role in fostering public awareness and supporting governance.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will embark on a two-day visit to Singapore to promote the Advantage Assam 2.0 initiative. The visit aims to attract investors, focusing on sectors like semiconductors, deep technology, infrastructure, and manufacturing.
During the trip, the Chief Minister will host a roadshow and meet with industry leaders to explore investment and collaboration opportunities. The objective is to position Assam as a growing hub for advanced industries and innovation.
The visit follows his recent trip to Mumbai, where discussions with industry leaders centered on Assam’s role in Industry 4.0.
