GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated a new bottling facility for Reliance Consumer Products Limited's (RCPL) Campa drinks in Guwahati. Spread across 600,000 square feet, this plant is a major step forward in increasing the footprint of the Campa brand in Northeast India.
The plant boasts an initial manufacturing capacity of more than 100 million liters of carbonated soft drinks (CSD) and nearly 180 million liters of packaged drinking water, catering to the increasing needs in the area. Dr. Sarma praised Campa's efforts to produce quality beverages at reasonable prices and wished that the new plant would create massive scale employment opportunities alongside contributing to the industrial development of Assam.
Created with the help of local company Jericho, the new facility employs cutting-edge bottling technology, including a 600 BPM carbonated soft drinks line and a 583 BPM water production line. The plant will manufacture a variety of products, such as Campa Cola, Campa Orange, Campa Lemon, Power Up, and bottled drinking water for Independence and Sure Water brands.
RCPL COO Ketan Mody underscored the plant's ability to drive local economic development, while Jericho's Founder Ashis Agarwal stressed the dedication to making Assam a top manufacturing destination. The Guwahati plant will be primarily serving Assam, Northeast India, and North Bengal, with potential for expansion into other markets as demand grows.
