Assam: CM Sarma inspects proposed site for Darrang Medical College

MANGALDAI: Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday visited the proposed site for the Darrang Medical College in Mangaldai. On his return journey to Guwahati after attending a party meeting in Udalguri, Chief Minister Dr Sarma inspected the land for the Darrang Medical College. He expressed his satisfaction after inspecting the site. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to lay the foundation stone of the proposed medical college on September 8. The Darrang administration has already allocated 146 bighas of land for the Darrang Medical College.

During the visit of the Chief Minister, Minister Pijush Hazarika, legislator Basanta Das and District Commissioner Parag Kumar Kakaty were also present.
