DIBRUGARH: In a developmental initiative and enhancing public service delivery across multiple Legislative Assembly Constituencies (LACs), Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is set to begin a four-day official tour of Dibrugarh and Tinsukia districts from July 22 to 25.
CM Sarma will commence his visit on July 22 by attending a Bhumi Pujan at Burha Burhi Than in Tinsukia and inaugurating a newly completed water supply project, which is expected to significantly improve access to clean drinking water in the region.
The Chief Minister will chair high-level review meetings for the Sonari, Nowboicha, and Tingkhong LACs on July 23 at the CM’s Secretariat in Dibrugarh. The meetings will focus on project progress, citizen concerns, and strategic planning. However, CM Sarma's schedule for July 24 is packed with major events, including the laying of foundation stones at Dibrugarh University under the PM-USHA scheme and the CM’s Special Grant.
Additionally, CM Sarma will also inaugurate new infrastructure projects at Assam Medical College and Hospital. Later, in Naharkatia, he will launch projects including a Co-District Office, Tata Strive Centre of Excellence, Road Over Bridge, and model schools, alongside the ITI handover to SEED.
The tour concludes on July 25 with foundation stone ceremonies at the CM Secretariat Campus and a review meeting in Margherita. Further itinerary details are awaited from the CMO.
