On Monday, the Congress have resorted to a nationwide protest in front of the SBI and LIC offices. Congress supporters initiated sit in protest outside State Bank of India (SBI) main branch located in Dibrugarh.

The prime motive behind the protest revolved around demand for an investigation and probe under the supervision of Supreme Court into the Hindenburg report against Adani Group. Jakir Hussain Sikdar, the president of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) criticised the NDA administration and claim that Adani has purposely fooled and looted hard earn money of common people.
