MORIGAON: As part of ongoing state infrastructure and school upgradation initiatives across Assam to improve public education facilities, a new three-storeyed building of the Morigaon Higher Secondary & Multipurpose School was recently built on the school premises.

Just a year after the completion of construction, cracks have appeared on the floor and walls of the new building, raising allegations of misappropriation of funds.

The locals stated that no cornerstone plaque has been erected, leading to questions about the amount allocated and the person responsible for the construction.
