GUWAHATI: In a remarkable bid to fight cyber fraud, Assam Police's Cyber Police Station managed to retrieve ₹23,000 from a Dharapur resident who had been cheated out of an online ticketing scam.

The victim, trying to book tickets through an unauthentic website, had lost ₹23,400 in the process. The Cyber Police team responded promptly by tracing the transaction to a specific bank account following the complaint filed. With this swift move, the ₹23,000 was retrieved, thereby giving immense relief to the aggrieved person.
