Darrang: In response to growing concerns over a drought-like situation in the region, the District Commissioner of Darrang conducted a field visit today to several agricultural areas under the Mangaldai Revenue Circle.

Accompanied by the District Agricultural Officer, the DC met with local farmers and assessed the condition of standing crops adversely affected by inadequate rainfall. The team interacted with cultivators to understand their challenges and assured them that appropriate measures would be taken to mitigate the impact of the dry spell.

Officials are expected to prepare a detailed report based on the field observations to support timely interventions and possible relief efforts.
