GUWAHATI: Under the Saraighat Bridge in North Guwahati, a body that has not been identified was discovered on Saturday.

Locals discovered the motionless body first, and they quickly alerted authorities. After some time, Jalukbari police showed up at the scene and removed the body for an autopsy.

The man may have been pushed off a moving train from the bridge, according to sources. The deceased's identification has not yet been determined.

A newborn baby boy's body was recently discovered floating in the Bahini River in Guwahati. The body was found in Guwahati city along Azan Fakir Road, beside the Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT).

The youngster looks to have drowned, at least initially, but the precise cause of death will be determined after the postmortem report, according to the police. Furthermore, the body had no visible signs of exterior injuries.

Several of the townspeople claim that the infant had just been delivered the day before.

In another, incident, the main suspect in the March 9 murder of a 1-year-old infant in Gohpur, Assam, was taken into custody by Assam Police on Friday morning.

The arrest was made as a result of the deceased's mother's confession, in which she claimed that her son had been murdered by Sachin Bordoloi, who was also his father.

According to the police, the accused left the crime scene immediately after doing it, took a train to Cementchapri, and returned home by 3 p.m.

The child's mother alleged that the child's father had killed him. In response to the complaint, the police detained him. So far, it has emerged that he committed the crime as a result of some family issues. Speaking to the media about the situation, the police official added.

The tragic tragedy came to light after the one-year-old's body was discovered in Gohpur, Assam. The infant would have been celebrating its first birthday, but his life was taken before that could happen, as was later discovered.
