Dhekiajuli: In a remarkable achievement that has filled Dhekiajuli and the entire state of Assam with pride, Antariksha Adhikari, a student of Lakshminath Bezbaruah Academy, has secured the top position in the Higher Secondary Final Examination conducted by the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), scoring a stellar 97.4% (487 out of 500 marks).
Initially recognized as the district topper, Antariksha was later officially declared the state topper after ASSEB released detailed data, despite having abolished the formal rank system from this academic session.
Her subject-wise scores reflect her academic brilliance Economics 99, English (Core) 98, English (Elective) 98, Geography 98, Psychology 95 and in Political Science 92.
A resident of Sirajuli, Antariksha is the daughter of Shankar Adhikari and Runumi Adhikari. Her exceptional performance has brought immense pride not only to her family and school but to the entire Dhekiajuli and Sonitpur district.
Kajal Borah, Principal of Lakshminath Bezbaruah Academy, expressed heartfelt satisfaction, stating, “Her achievement is a testament to her relentless hard work and the unwavering dedication of our teaching faculty. She is a beacon of inspiration for all.”
The All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) Dhekiajuli Unit and Sonitpur District Committee also congratulated Antariksha on her outstanding achievement. Shankar Das, Education Secretary of the AASU Sonitpur District Committee, praised her dedication, clarity of focus, and brilliance, and commended the school and its faculty for nurturing such excellence.
To honour her success, the Sirajuli unit of the Assam Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chhatra Parishad (AJYCP) visited her home and felicitated her with a traditional Phulam Gamosa and a certificate of appreciation. The delegation was led by President Chadulla Ahmed and general secretary Ranjit Baniya, along with Sujit Kotoki (Literary Secretary, Central Committee), Dharani Keot (Vice President, Sonitpur District), and Jaynal Abedin (Joint Secretary).
Beyond academics, Antariksha is a multi-talented individual. She is trained in classical dance, vocal music, and painting. She also plays basketball, participates in science competitions, plays the guitar, and nurtures a passion for creative writing. Her dream is to pursue English Honours and establish herself as a writer.
Antariksha’s journey stands as a powerful testament to the harmony of academic excellence and artistic versatility, and she is poised to inspire countless students across Assam for years to come.
