Assam: DirVac Assam Arrests Two Assam Govt Employees in Bribery Charges

GUWAHATI: The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption or in short DirVac Assam has employed sleuths in all corners of the state of Assam to keep a strict vigil on the working of government offices so that people should not go through any trouble. 

DirVac Assam has been successful in its mission against bribery in government offices as it has arrested more than 40 Lat Mandals this year until now. 

DirVac Assam sleuths on Tuesday were successful in arresting two government employees in two separate incidents under the suspicion of accepting bribe money. 

Additional Patwari Utpal Kumar Nath employed at the Office of Settlement Officer of Hailakandi and Cachar district was caught red-handed and arrested by the vigilance team while accepting demanded money for the land certification work of a complainant. 

Special ADGP(Additional Director General of Police) GP Singh who is quite active on Twitter after the arrest tweeted, "Sri Utpal Kumar Nath, Addl Patwari O/O Settlement Officer Hailakandi & Cachar district has been trapped and arrested red handed today by team of@DIR_VAC_ASSAM while accepting demanded money for land certification work of the complainant.@assampolice @CMOfficeAssam"

The DirVac sleuths had a busy day today as after arresting Utpal Kumar Nath, they went on to arrest Naik of Unarmed Branch of Assam Police Miachand Ali who was employed in the Assam Police Headquarters after he was caught red-handed accepting money from a complainant to expedite the process of passing the pending bills the complainant had. Miachand Ali was demanding money right under the nose of Assam Police top cops as he was employed in the headquarters of Assam Police. 

GP Singh, ADGP also tweeted on the incident by saying, "NK(UB) Miachand Ali of@assampolice Hq has been trapped and arrested red-handed today by a team of@DIR_VAC_ASSAM while accepting demanded money for expediting processing and passing of pending Bills of the complainant. @CMOfficeAssam"
