BOKO: A fire broke out in the Saturday weekly market in Boko on Friday very early morning. The fire completely burned down three tea shops. The fire destroyed property worth Rs 6 lakh, said Hriday Mahanta, General Secretary of the market committee. The fire was extinguished by the Boko Police and fire brigade overnight.
The shops were owned by Deveshwar Rabha of Khatkhati in Boko, Siddharth Rabha of Bangaon-Bakarapara, and Achyut Rabha of Pathshalakoth. Locals and the market committee suspect that some miscreants set fire to the shops. Meanwhile, the market committee filed an FIR regarding the incident in Boko Police Station and are seeking a proper investigation. Boko Police has already started a probe regarding the incident.
