Assam: Fire guts 7 shops at Nagaon

NAGAON: Over seven shops including wooden furniture situated near at Nagaon court and Haibargaon bazar connecting old bridge over Kolong river were gutted by a sudden fire on Sunday night. On being informed by some locals, Nagaon police as well as fire personnel from Nagaon fire station rushed to the spot and tried to extinguish the fire for hours, sources said, adding t hat the cause of fire was yet to be confirmed.
