Assam: Five Killed, Two Injured After Truck Hits Them In Sipajhar

Sipajhar: At least five people lost their lives while two others were injured after a speeding truck crushed them here on Tuesday.

As per reports, the incident occurred at Sipajhar's College Chowk where these people were doing morning walks.

Three people died on the spot and two others died on the way to the hospital while two severely injured people were immediately rushed to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).

The deceased have been identified as Jaimati Bora, Jitumoni Ahmed, Indadul Hoque, Sangita Devi, and Rakib Ali.

Reportedly, the driver and cleaner of the truck fled away from the spot.
