Assam Floods: Flood situation at Nagaon still grim

NAGAON: The flood situation in Nagaon district is still critical and over 20,000 flood hit inmates are still waiting at various relief camps set up by district administration to go back to their respective homes till the time of filing this report.

As per a report issued by the district disaster management authority, Nagaon on Tuesday afternoon, over 5.2 lakhs people are reeling under flood water although the water level has slightly come down during the last couple of days.

Meanwhile, the State Agriculture Minister Atul Bora on Tuesday visited the flood-ravaged areas in Kampur and Kothiatoli.
