Guwahati: The Northeast Frontier (NF) Railway has cancelled several trains following the waterlogging between Nalbari and Ghograpar, under the Rangiya division.

In addition to this, several other trains are being diverted through the Bongaigaon-Goalpara route.

"In view of water logging at Km 347/6-8 between Nalbari and Ghograpar, of Rangiya division, services of several trains have been cancelled, partially cancelled and diverted as indicated below," an official statement said.

As per the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), 1510 villages under 72 revenue circles are currently submerged in water along with 19782.80 hectares of cropland.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday predicted that the northeastern region will continue to receive heavy rainfall till June 17 and also issued a red alert for the state of Assam and Meghalaya.

Trains Which Are Cancelled:

Train no 05809 New Bongaigaon – Guwahati passenger train, of June 16 will be cancelled between New Bongaigaon and Guwahati. The return train – 05810 Guwahati – New Bongaigaon passenger train, commencing journey on June 17 has also been cancelled.

Also, train no 05802 Guwahati – New Bongaigaon passenger, commencing journey on June 16 and June 17 has been cancelled.

Train no 05801 New Bongaigaon – Guwahati passenger train, commencing journey on June 17 has been cancelled.

Train no 15753 Alipurduar – Guwahati Sifhung Express commencing journey on June 17 has been cancelled.

Train no 15754 Guwahati – Alipurduar Sifhung Express commencing journey on June 17 has been cancelled.

Trains Which Are Partialy Cancelled:

Train no 15753 Alipurduar -Guwahati Sifhung Express of June 16 has been short terminated at Nalbari.

Train no 15754 Guwahati – Alipurduar Sifhung Express of June 16 has been short originated at Nalbari and will remain partially cancelled in between Guwahati and Nalbari.

Train no 15770 Lumding – Alipurduar Intercity Express commencing journey on June 16 will be short terminated at Guwahati and will remain partially cancelled in between Guwahati and Alipurduar.

Train no 15769 Alipurduar – Lumding – Intercity Express commencing journey on June 17 will be short originated at Guwahati.

Trains Which Are Diverted:

Train no 12424 New Delhi – Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express commencing journey on June 15 will be diverted via New Bongaigaon – Goalpara Town – Kamakhya instead of New Bongaigaon – Rangiya – Kamakhya.

Train no 20504 New Delhi – Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express commencing journey on June 15 will be diverted via New Bongaigaon – Goalpara Town – Kamakhya instead of New Bongaigaon – Rangiya – Kamakhya.

Train no 15658 Kamakhya – Delhi Brahmaputra Mail commencing journey on June 16 will run via Kamakhya – Goalpara Town – New Bongaigaon instead of Kamakhya – Rangiya – New Bongaigaon.

Train no 12520 Kamakhya – Lokmanya Tilak AC Express commencing journey on June 16 will run via Kamakhya – Goalpara Town – New Bongaigaon.

Train no 15910 Lalgarh – Dibrugarh Avadh Assam Express commencing journey on June 14 will run via New Bongaigaon – Goalpara Town – Kamakhya.

Train no 15633 Bikaner – Guwahati Express commencing journey on 15th June, 2022 will run via New Bongaigaon – Goalpara Town – Kamakhya.

Train no 13173 Sealdah – Agartala Kanchenjungha Express commencing journey on June 16 will run via Goalpara Town.
