NAGAON: The Assam Forest Rangers’ Association extended financial support to the family of a forest guard who lost his life while on duty. Jirchang Ingti, a forest guard, had unfortunately drowned while performing his duties at the Kaziranga National Park on March 19. A team from the Assam Forest Rangers’ Association, led by its President Pranjal Baruah, and General Secretary Shamim Akhtar, visited Ingti’s residence in Dharmatul, Bokalia in Karbi Anglong district, to offer condolences as well as financial assistance to his family on Thursday.  The association provided a financial aid of Rs 50,000 to the family of the deceased forest guard. The team’s visit was aimed at providing support to the bereaved family during this difficult time. The association’s members, including Executive Member Dipon Deka and members Girish Bora, Prabhat Baruah, and Pita Singnar, were present during the visit. The family of the deceased forest guard expressed their gratitude to the Assam Forest Rangers’ Association for their kind gesture and support. The association’s initiative was seen as a morale booster for the forest workers and their families.
