DEMOW: Under the Assam Government ‘Assam Darshan’ Scheme for the year 2024-25, the foundation stone of the Demow Sitala Mandir which is situated at Demow Chariali was laid near the temporary Sitala Mandir by Nitai Panidehing Mandal BJP workers on behalf of Sushanta Borgohain, MLA of 95 No. Demow Constituency today.
The Assam Government has granted Rs 3 lakh for the construction of the Demow Sitala Mandir. After the expansion of the four-lane highway in Demow of Sivasagar District, the Demow Sitala Mandir was shifted to a temporary place.
In the programme, Monuj Chetia, general secretary of Krishan Morcha Nitai Panidehing Mandal BJP, Nitul Gogoi, Vice-President of Nitai Panidehing Mandal BJP, Biju Kumar Chetia, president of OBC Morcha Nitai Panidehing Mandal BJP were present.
