KOKRAJHAR: A free health camp and blanket distribution programme was organized by ‘Let’s Smile Together’ at Dawangpara village to provide healthcare services and winter relief to underprivileged families on Wednesday last. The objectives of the NGO is to provide free medical check-ups and consultations, distribute blankets to poor families for winter protection and to promote awareness on hygiene and preventive care.

The event was inaugurated by Barub Hussain, president of the NGO. In the medical camp the diseases like respiratory infections, diabetes, tuberculosis, and hypertension were checked up. Free medicines were also distributed. An awareness session on hygiene and nutrition was conducted. Blankets were distributed, prioritizing the elderly, women, and children. The health camp and blanket distribution benefitted the villages in the locality.

Villagers who received healthcare and winter relief, expressed their gratitude and requested the NGO to take more similar initiatives. The programme successfully provided immediate healthcare and winter assistance, fostering a spirit of community care and responsibility.
