Guwahati: In a rare sighting, a golden tiger was spotted by a tourist from Bengaluru in Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve in Assam.

It is to be noted that this happened to be the first sighting of the golden tiger in Kaziranga in over two years and it was spotted alongside rhinos, wild buffaloes and deer.

The tourist who captured the moment has been identified as Vishwajit Chhetri and he confessed that he was startled to see the tiger together with rhinoceros and added that never in his wildest of dreams did he imagine that he would come across such a rare sighting.

"Usually, one does not see a rhinoceros and the Royal Bengal Tiger together. Except when the tiger is on a hunting spree," said Chhetri.

The golden tiger was previously seen in Kaziranga back in July 2020 and it was photographed by naturalist and destination manager with luxury cruise ship M V Mahabahu, Mayuresh Hendre.
