GUWAHATI: The Directorate of Women and Child Development of Assam has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ITC Limited to bolster early childhood care, education, development and nutrition in the state.

The agreement, signed on April 2, targets improvements in both aspirational and developed districts, focusing on seven aspirational areas: Hailakandi, Goalpara, Dhubri, Barpeta, Baksa, Udalguri, and Darrang, as well as Nalbari, Morigaon, Kamrup Metro, and Kamrup.

This project will give holistic training to anganwadi workers, focusing on home-based responsive caregiving practices and strengthening play-based learning.
