GUWAHATI: The Assam government, led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, has launched a new digital platform called the Revenue Court Case Management System (RCCMS). This system is meant to make filing land-related appeals and resolving disputes easier and faster.
The RCCMS has been introduced to make the process more open and easy to use. It lets people submit land-related appeals online, so they don’t need to go to government offices. This system should help reduce delays, make things work faster, and resolve land disputes more quickly.
With the implementation of this digital platform, users will be able to track the status of their cases, receive updates on hearings, and access relevant documents seamlessly. The system is also expected to strengthen the functioning of revenue courts by ensuring better case management and reducing the backlog of pending cases.
Meanwhile, earlier today, Assam Health Minister Ashok Singhal has said that a dedicated WhatsApp helpline is to be launched from February 15 to streamline the distribution of medicines in government hospitals. This move comes as a remedy to the long-standing shortage of medicines that plague patients across the state.
Recently, while visiting Sribhumi Civil Hospital, Minister Singhal met patients to know the availability of essential drugs. The feedback revealed a disturbing trend wherein patients have to buy medicines from private pharmacies despite the government's commitment to providing free essential drugs.
