Assam Governor Professor Jagdish Mukhi visits AAU & NID

JORHAT: Assam Governor Professor Jagdish Mukhi, who is also the Chancellor of Assam Agricultural University (AAU), paid a whirlwind tour to various departments of the university on Wednesday and took stock of the developments in the field of research.
Earlier in the morning, Governor Mukhi visited the animal husbandry department, extension education, museum, horticulture, community sciences and department of biotechnology where he interacted with scholars, researchers, research scholars, Ph.D. students and senior scientists regarding how agriculture could grow in order to double the income of farmers and how researchers could make all the latest technologies available to the farmers. The Governor also paid a visit to India’s sixth National Institute of Design (NID) in Jorhat and appreciated the contribution and performance of the NID.
