Assam: Govt Decides To Alter Nomenclature Of District Administration Employees

GUWAHATI: A series of discussion took place during the cabinet meeting held on 30th of January, Monday. The Cabinet has decided to alter the nomenclature of few posts in Deputy Commissioner's office. 

The decision has been made based on the ongoing demand of All Assam District Administration Employees Union. Prior to this development, the employees of several districts units had the designation of junior assistant, senior assistant, head assistant and supervisory head assistant. 

Now it had been altered to junior district assistant, senior district assistant, district administrative head assistant and district supervisory head assistant. 

The prime motive behind this change of nomenclature is to separate the employees from usual government employees, amidst the demand of the district administration employees. Apart from this, a slew of decisions has been made including the sanction of Rs 300 crore for the Moitri projects. 

Under this, various transformation will be made in every Police station in Assam including, infrastructural changes, efficient internet connectivity and tools for cyber crime detection. 

A structure will also be developed to polish the soft skills and ability to handle the new age crimes like drugs and cyber crimes of police personnels will be carried on. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, declared that the iconic Rang Ghar will be placed in the world tourist map. 

The CM tweeted regarding the same and mentioned that the matter has been discussed with leading citizens of Sivsagar. Further, The CM revealed that, Public Works Department (PWD), has decided to sanction 83 bighas of land in Rang Ghar to enhance and modify the place with upgraded facilities. 

Himanta Biswa Sarma also takes up duty for completion and modification of the iconic structure. The cabinet has decided that, in the next budget list, funds will assigned for the beautification of Rang Ghar as well as Talatal Ghar. The state administration has outlined a plan to give a new transformation to the state-of-the-art theatre, heritage village and indigenous village around Rang ghar. This has been announce by CM Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday.
