Assam Govt Issuing Job Advertisement To Collect Revenue From Unemployed Claims AIDUF MLA

GUWAHATI: AIUDF leader and the member of Assam Legislative Assembly, Hafiz Rafiqul Islam in his recent statement alleged that the Assam government is using job advertisements for revenue collection.

The MLA from Jania Constituency accuses the government of Assam of trying to collect revenue from the unemployed in the state through job advertisements.

On Monday, while addressing the media the AIUDF (All India United Democratic Front) MLA made the following remark accusing the Assam government.

According to the MLA, the state government has been issuing several job advertisements but there were no updates about many of the exams that the candidates have appeared. He added that no development is seen even after the deadlines of those government jobs.

Rafiqul alleged that the reason for the state government to issue such advertisements for jobs is just to collect revenue and there is no intention of providing jobs to the unemployed youths of Assam.

The MLA in his statement on Monday said that the state government is facing a financial crisis and it is clearly visible in their actions.

Referring to a recent job advertisement for III and IV grade jobs, the MLA said that the application fee to apply for those government jobs was as high as 1400.

According to Rafiqul such a high fee to apply for the exam is a total injustice to the candidates willing to apply.

He continued by saying that a year ago, the government made promises about providing one lakh jobs to the unemployed in the state but as of now only 1200 have been fulfilled which means that the government has failed to keep its promise.

The AIUDF leader further stated that the government has been continuously giving fake hopes to the eligible unemployed youths struggling for jobs in the state.
