DIBRUGARH: Granular Potash-I was launched at a programme in Dibrugarh Gymkhana club on Saturday by Indian Potash Limited.

UN Singh, General Manager, Indian Potash Limited, M Patir, JDA (C&F) Director of Agriculture Khanapara, Bhaskar Borah, Fertilizer Nodal Officer, Dibrugarh, Dr H Malakar, senior scientist, TRA, Ramauter Yadav, Deputy Regional Manager, IPL, S Talukdar, AMM, IPL, and Manash Baruah, upper Assam area In-Charge of IPL. The programme was participated in by tea estate owners and managers and IPL dealers.

During the programme, the experts talked about Potash and its importance for good agriculture. Balanced use of fertilizer is utmost important for good agriculture practice, they said.

Speaking at the programme, UN Singh, General Manager of IPL said, “Granular Potash is a high quality concentrated potassium source suitable for broadcast application. Granular Potash ensures uniform dust-free application in the field.”

“Indian Potash Limited was established in 1955 as a Potash supply agency. Today, we have launched Granular Potash-I in Assam and our objective is to maintain the soil health and create awareness among farmers on the balanced use of fertilizer. IPL supplies all kinds of fertilizers which are imported and is providing service to all parts of India and helping farmers for good agriculture,” Singh said.

He further added, “The IPL is also organizing awareness programmes for farmers and helping them maintain a good soil health. The farmers should use balanced fertilizer.”
