

GUWAHATI: In view of the proposed construction activities relating to the superstructure work, i.e., the launching and erection of the steel girder of the flyover near Downtown Hospital on G.S. Road from the midnight of 3rd March, diversion of traffic has to be done at Six Mile, Downtown, and Supermarket to ensure the safety of the public, especially vulnerable road users like children, students, women, senior citizens, and differently abled individuals on the road, and to give free passage to the emergency vehicles like ambulances, fire tenders, etc.
However, the following regulations on the movement of vehicles shall be effective from 03/03/2025 until completion of the work (from 11.30 PM to 4.30 AM on all days):
1. Plying of all vehicles on GS Road between Sixmile Flyover and Downtown (both tracks) will be stopped w.e.f. 03/03/2025 between 11.30 pm and 4.30 am daily.
2. All vehicles coming from the Khanapara side towards VIP Road/Panjabari Road/Jayanagar Road may ply as usual via the service road of the Sixmile Flyover.
3. The vehicles coming from the Khanapara side towards Dispur may go via Jayanagar Road-Beltola Bazar Road, Beltola-Survey Road, and Last Gate by taking the service lane of the Sixmile flyover.
4. The vehicles coming from the Panjabari side towards Dispur may also go via Jayanagar Road-Beltola Bazar Road, Beltola-Survey Road, and Last Gate.
5. The vehicles coming from the Sachal/Ananda Nagar side towards Dispur may also go via Jayanagar Road-Beltola Bazar Road, Beltola-Survey Road, and Last Gate.
The citizens of Guwahati are requested to abide by the above-mentioned advisory and to cooperate with Guwahati Traffic Police in the greater interest of the society and safety of the general public.
