PATHSALA: After battling months of scorching heat and dry skies, farmers in Bajali finally found relief as rainfall returned to the region. The much-awaited showers brought new energy and hope to the farming community, which had been struggling with delayed cultivation and dried-up fields.

For a long time, the absence of rain had left the soil cracked and hard, making it impossible for farmers to begin sowing seasonal crops. Many feared heavy losses and food shortages if the situation continued. But the recent rainfall soaked the land, softened the fields, and opened the way for paddy transplantation and other key farming activities.

“This rain feels like a blessing,” said a local farmer from the Titka area. “We were worried for our crops, our income, and our families. Now, there is hope again,” he added. The rainfall also brought a welcome drop in temperature, improving overall weather conditions and reducing dust in the air. Many farmers have already returned to their fields, preparing for planting and tending to their land with renewed energy.

Local residents expressed hope that if the rain continued steadily over the coming weeks, this year’s harvest season could still be saved. For now, the skies above Bajali are not just full of clouds but also of promise.
