Guwahati: As the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) on Monday declared the Assam HS result 2022, the passing percentage in Arts is 83.48%, Commerce- 87.26%, and Science- 92.19%.

Around 156107 students appeared for the HS exam in the Arts stream and out of them, around 130324 or 83.48% have passed. On the other hand, in the Science stream, as many as 33534 students wrote the exam and of them, 30915 or 92.19% make it to the passing list.

Lastly, 15199 students wrote sat for the exam in the Commerce stream, and of them, around 13264 or 87.27% have passed.

Coming to toppers, in the Arts Stream, Cherry Gohain of Women's College Tinsukia and Sadhana Devi of Kamrupa Girls' Senior Secondary School have topped with 487 marks. In the Science stream, Dhritiraj Bastav Kalita of Deomoroni HS School has topped with 491 marks.

In the Commerce stream, Sagar Agarwal of Vivekananda Senior Secondary School, Cachar has secured the top position with 482 marks.

Arts stream:

Appeared: 1,56,107

Passed: 1,30,324

Pass percentage: 83.48%

First division: 29,487

Second division: 52,944

Third division: 47,893

Commerce stream:

Appeared: 15,199

Passed: 13,264

Pass percentage: 87.27%

1st division: 5,018

2nd division: 5,186

3rd division: 3,060

Science stream:

As many as 92.19% of students have passed in the Science stream surpassing the other two streams.

First division: 20,171

Third division: 911

The Higher Secondary (HS) or class 12 board exams commenced on March 15 and concluded on April 12, 2022.

Last year, a total of 78.28 percent of students had made it to the passing list in the Arts stream. The passing percentage in the Commerce stream stood at 91.55 percent. On the other hand, 88.06 percent of students successfully cleared the Science stream.
