Assam HSLC Results: AASU Urges Board to Declare Results in June First Week

AASU representatives held a meeting with the secretary of the state Higher Secondary board and appealed that the results should be out prior to June 5.

Guwahati: The Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) today has announced that the state Higher Secondary results will be declared on June 20, 2022.

Notably, earlier the results were slated to be out by May 30, however, due to a delay in scrutinizing the examination papers the results dates have been postponed.

Concerning the matter, AASU representatives held a meeting with N N Nath, the secretary of the state Higher Secondary board. Further, the Students' body made an appeal that the results must be out prior to June 5.

AASU general secretary Shankar Jyoti Baruah told the media, "We have requested SEBA to declare results within the first week of June for the students' benefit. The authorities have assured us that they were working to declare the results as soon as possible."

The officials at SEBA also said that there has been a delay in correcting the answer scripts due to the ongoing Gunotsav in Assam.

Sources in the SEBA said that the authority has been working round the clock to prepare the results soon. However, the dates for declaring the results were yet to be announced officially.

This year SEBA conducted HSLC 2022 exams from March 15, 2022, to March 31, 2022, across the districts of Assam.

This decision has turned out to be the outcome of the conference meeting held between the Board of Secondary Education Assam and the All Assam Students' Union (AASU) pertaining to the announcement of the state's High School Leaving Certification Examination (HSLC) results.
