

Guwahati: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday predicted light to heavy rainfall over the isolated places of Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh on 31st March and 1st April 2022.
Apart from this, thunderstorms, gusty winds, and lightning are likely to hit the region from Wednesday onwards.
''Light to moderate rainfall activity very likely to continue over Northeast India during next 5 days with the possibility of isolated heavy falls over Assam-Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh on 31st March & 01st April 2022,'' IMD tweeted.
IMD also predicted heatwaves in isolated pockets over South Haryana, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu division on 29 March 2022 and 30 March 2022.
The weather forecasting agency has predicted severe heatwave conditions in most parts of West Rajasthan, East Rajasthan, and West Madhya Pradesh on March 29 and March 30.
